THANK YOU TO THE VISITORS OF THE 73RD LJUBLJANA FESTIVAL

To all who attended the events of this year’s Ljubljana Festival

The 73rd Ljubljana Festival, which we spent in the company of leading Slovene and international soloists, conductors, orchestras and theatre and ballet companies, has now come to an end. Over the course of the festival we enjoyed more than 132 unforgettable performances, featuring artists from 55 countries. The Ljubljana Festival on the Ljubljanica celebrated its tenth edition and we successfully completed another set of Ljubljana Festival Masterclasses and the XXVIII International Fine Arts Colony, while the youngest art lovers had the opportunity to take part in the now traditional Little Art Colony.

There were virtuoso performances from orchestras including the Vienna Philharmonic, the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the Münchner Virtuosen, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo and the Roma Sinfonietta, led by eminent conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Franz Welser-Möst, George Pehlivanian, Daniel Harding, Josep Vicent and Andrea Morricone. Festival highlights included the operatic and theatrical productions The Creation (La Fura dels Baus), Otello (SNG Maribor Opera and Ballet), Don Giovanni (Pehlivanian Professional Opera Academy) and The Phantom of the Opera (Broadway Entertainment Group).

Preparations for the 74th Ljubljana Festival are already well under way. Before that, however, you are cordially invited to the following events taking place between October and April: the 33rd edition of the Young Virtuosi international concert series, the 9th Winter Festival (in February and March 2026, concurrently with the Ljubljana Festival International Competition – Piano 2026), and the 40th Slovenian Music Days, scheduled for April 2026.

We sincerely thank you for your support and your attendance of the events of the 73rd Ljubljana Festival and we look forward to seeing you again at future events.

Best wishes, The Ljubljana Festival team
