Ljubljana Festival would like to thank all visitors for their understanding following the exceptional weather conditions that affected the performance of Turandot  by Giacomo Puccini at Congress Square.

The performance was organised as an open-air event, which was clearly stated when it was announced and when tickets were placed on sale. At the time of purchase, ticket holders were also informed of the Festival Ljubljana General Terms and Conditions, which form an integral part of the contractual relationship between the organiser and the ticket purchaser. Article 13 of the General Terms and Conditions expressly governs situations in which an event is interrupted due to external circumstances, including adverse weather conditions.

Pursuant to the applicable Festival Ljubljana General Terms and Conditions, the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1), and the Slovenian Code of Obligations (OZ), there is no legal basis in this case for a refund of the ticket price, ticket exchange, or any other form of compensation.

Although Ljubljana Festival has no legal obligation to refund the ticket price or provide any other form of compensation in these circumstances, it wishes to express its appreciation for its visitors' understanding and the trust they have placed in the Festival by offering them the opportunity to attend another festival event. Accordingly, all ticket holders for the opening performance of Puccini's Turandot  may exchange their tickets for one of the following three selected performances:

• Camille Saint-Saëns: Samson and Delilah – 9 July 2026, Cankarjev dom;
• The Constellation Orchestra and Choir, conducted by John Eliot Gardiner – 26 August 2026, Cankarjev dom;
• ADDA Simfònica Alicante Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Josep Vicent – 27 August 2026, Cankarjev dom

Tickets may be exchanged for tickets of comparable value to those originally purchased for Turandot,  subject to availability for the selected performance.

Ticket exchanges may be requested until 31 July 2026 (inclusive) in one of the following ways:

At the Križanke Box Office:

• please present all original physical tickets you wish to exchange.

By email (info@eventim.si):

• send a photograph or scanned copy of your ticket(s) together with your Order ID.
• please specify in your email which performance you wish to attend in exchange for your Turandot  ticket(s).

This press release constitutes Ljubljana Festival's official response to all complaints and requests received in connection with ticket refunds or any other form of compensation.
