Hell’s Courtyard is the most picturesque venue within the Križanke complex. Its unique feature is an embedded network of lights that creates the illusion of a starry sky. Additionally, during the renovation of the monastery complex, Plečnik employed Renaissance drawing techniques and decorated the walls with three-dimensional figures inspired by Czech medieval art. All these renovation elements are most prominent in the Preddverje, where Plečnik envisioned an open-air theatre. The idyllic pergola along the monastery wall is supported by columns from the Prince's Palace.
