Brief Description of the Institute’s Area of Work

The Institute ensures the continuous and uninterrupted provision of public cultural services in the field of various cultural events, including theatrical, musical, visual, intermediary, congress, and other related activities. As part of its operations, the Institute organizes the Festival Ljubljana as its central event, featuring concerts of symphonic and chamber music, opera, ballet, and theatre performances by top domestic and international artists. It also organizes the Young Virtuosi concert cycle, which showcases young musicians, and the traditional contemporary music festival Slovenian Music Days, which includes both concerts and a symposium. In addition, the Institute holds events during the Christmas and New Year season, as well as other cultural events throughout the year.
