Accessibility
Statement

Festival Ljubljana is committed to ensuring accessibility of the website www.ljubljanafestival.si for all users in accordance with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.ljubljanafestival.si.

Level of compliance

The website www.ljubljanafestival.si is partially compliant with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act due to the exceptions listed below.

Non-accessible content

The accessibility of the website www.ljubljanafestival.si is continuously monitored, and individual accessibility elements are regularly improved.

However, some content on the website www.ljubljanafestival.si does not yet meet all legal accessibility requirements. A list of such content, along with reasons for its inaccessibility, is provided below.

Festival Ljubljana uses photographs and video content to visually enhance event descriptions, news, and general presentations. Not all photos and videos are fully captioned, include source information, or contain alternative text, detailed image descriptions, or text transcriptions. This is because providing such adaptations would represent a disproportionate burden, and the content primarily serves as a visual supplement to the published information.

Due to the large number of files and copyright issues, not all documents with the extensions *.doc, *.docx, *.pdf, and *.xml are fully adapted for accessibility and are only partially accessible. This applies particularly to archival documents, as adapting them would represent a disproportionate burden. However, the essential content of these files is also available in other (more accessible) formats—e.g., as standard content on the website.

Archival documentation has not been fully adapted, as modifying certain documents is no longer possible due to their availability only in scanned form. However, in preparing future documentation, we strive to comply with the required accessibility standards.

Accessible content

The website is partially adapted for vulnerable groups through the UserWay web accessibility plugin, available at the bottom-right corner of the webpage. This tool allows for functionalities such as contrast adjustment, magnifier, text reader, font switching, heading highlighting, link magnification, virtual keyboard, monochrome mode, light/dark contrast mode, font size adjustment, line and word spacing adjustment, as well as background, heading, and content color customization, among others.

In addition to the UserWay tool, further systemic accessibility adjustments have been implemented on the website www.ljubljanafestival.si that are not covered by the plugin:

  1. The website is responsively designed and adapts to all screen orientations and sizes.
  2. It is optimized for various devices (computers, phones, tablets, e-readers, etc.).
  3. Website texts are presented as actual text (not embedded in images), enabling screen reader use.
  4. Web pages include headings that describe the topic or purpose.
  5. Page titles and labels describe topics in context.
  6. Individual sections are organized with descriptive headings.
  7. The website’s navigation is clearly marked.
  8. Sufficient color contrast is ensured between site elements.
  9. Images can be equipped with alternative (alt) text.
  10. Use of hierarchical headings is enabled.
  11. A breadcrumb trail is provided to show users their location on the site.
  12. Buttons and links have clear contextual labels.

  14. No audio is played without user consent.
  15. The site supports navigation using all input methods – keyboard, mouse, or touchscreen.
  16. The language of each page can be programmatically defined.
  17. The language used is grammatically correct and readable; content is predictable, and all forms include input assistance and error identification.
