David Cagnazzo was born in 2011 into a musical family, and has been dedicated to percussion from an early age. He is currently a seventh-grade student at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Ljubljana, where he studies under Žiga Brlek. Already at a young age, he performed in chamber music seminars with Boštjan Gombač and in masterclasses with the renowned percussionists Doug Perkins, Katarzyna Myćka, Vanessa Porter and Eric Sammut. He is the winner of numerous awards at national and international competitions: he has received several golden awards with commendation at the International Music Competition BOLERO in Muta (2022, 2024 and 2025), and in 2023 he won first prize and the special award for the best performance of the compulsory piece at the TEMSIG competition. In 2024 he became a laureate of the International Competition for Young Musicians SONUS op. 8 competition in Croatia, where he received first prize in the percussion category, and a year later he won second prize at the prestigious Marimba Festiva International Competition in Bamberg.
Ana Josimovska Cagnazzo is a pianist, chamber musician and teacher, born in 1980 in Kumanovo. She studied piano at the Ljubljana Academy of Music with Dubravka Tomšič Srebotnjak and underwent further training in Bergamo with Konstantin Bogino. She has appeared as a soloist with the Macedonian and Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestras, and has received prizes at competitions in Italy, France, Serbia and Bulgaria. Since 2005 she has been active in the AnAntonio Piano Duo, and she also teaches at the Waldorf School and the Waldorf Music School in Ljubljana.
Zala Eva Kocijančič is a young violinist who graduated from the Ljubljana Academy of Music and the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. She is currently a master’s student in the class of Vasilij Meljnikov and is also pursuing further training at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona. She has won first prizes at the Ohrid Pearls, Young Virtuoso in Zagreb and Alexandre Glazounov International Competition for Violin, Cello and Alto in Paris, as well as second prize at the TEMSIG competition. The University of Ljubljana presented her with a special achievement award, and in the 2022/2023 season she also received the Prešeren Award for Artistic Achievements for her performance of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist, she has also appeared with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Amadeo Orchestra and the Pro Arte Orchestra in Vienna. As a chamber musician, she has performed at the Ljubljana Festival, with Ljubljana Jeunesses Musicales and in a piano trio under the mentorship of Miha Haas. In 2025 she was invited to the ESTA International Conference in Amersfoort as a guest lecturer.
Pianist Lara Oprešnik studied with Hinko Haas and Ruben Dalibaltayan at the Ljubljana Academy of Music and with Milana Chernyavska at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. She completed her master’s degree summa cum laude in Ljubljana in 2023 and went on to pursue further studies with Björn Lehmann at the Berlin University of the Arts. She has appeared as a soloist with several orchestras both in Slovenia and abroad, including the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Mihail Jora Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacău. In January 2025 she performed Alexander Scriabin’s piano concerto at the Musikverein in Vienna, as part of her first prize in the Vienna New Year’s Concert International Music Competition. She makes regular appearances at festivals such as the Young Virtuosi (the Ljubljana Festival), Lent, Arsana and New Music Forum, collaborates with Jeunesses Musicales Ljubljana and performs as a chamber musician. She has won numerous prizes, including a Student Prešeren Award and top prizes at the Agustín Aponte International Music Competition (Tenerife), the Yamaha Music Europe Foundation, TEMSIG competition, the Valsesia Musica International Competition, and many others. As a composer, she has published works for piano and chamber ensembles, including In search of (2022) and Fugue (2025).
