Matteo Bortolazzi (2006) is studying under the guidance of Epifanio Comis. At the age of twelve, he was entered on the Roll of Honour of the Cesare Pollini Conservatory in Padova for his performance of Piano Concerto in A major, K. 414 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He is currently studying at the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Catania. He has appeared at various music events, including a recital in December 2021 for the Frédéric Chopin Society at the Salle Molière in Lyon. He has won several prizes at national and international competitions, among them absolute first prizes at the 24th International Piano Competition Giulio Rospigliosi in Lamporecchio, the 33rd National Piano Competition J. S. Bach in Sestri Levante, the 6th International Piano Competition of the City of San Donà di Piave and at the 2021 Merci, Maestro! – International Piano Competition in Brussels. In September 2022 he received a prestigious student award – first place at the National Art Prize competition in the under-16 category. In August 2023, he advanced to the first stage of the finals at the 64th Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition, and in March 2025 he won first prize at the piano competition for scholarships awarded by the Vincenzo Bellini Foundation established by Grazia Marletta.
