About the event

Theatre Performance 3 sisters

Teater TIVOLI is a new institution for cultural activities, which created several high-profile artistic events last year. The most notable was the performance of What Happened to Bette Davis and Joan Crawford? in co-production with Cankarjev dom and Mini teatr, which is being performed with great success again this year in Cankarjev dom and has achieved wide media coverage. Our projects (concerts and exhibitions) have been presented both in Slovenia and further afield (Croatia, Serbia).

More information

In 2024 Teater TIVOLI’s artistic team has joined forces with the Ljubljana Festival. A staging of Chekhov’s play 3 Sisters Remix  will have its performance at Križanke. The project brings together acclaimed artists from Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia. The production blends theatre and cinematography, enabling insights from close up and from within and addressing the universal questions of time and space posed by Chekhov more than 120 years ago. The same questions that constantly return to the mind of every sensitive individual.

The artistic team – director Ivica Buljan and cast Aleksandra Balmazović, Uroš Fürst, Olga Grad, Jernej Markelj,  Gal Oblak, Saša Pavlin Stošić, Kaja Petrovič, Jožef Ropoša, Joakim Tasić,  Milena Vasić and Lovro Zafred – add a new level to Chekhov’s canonical drama and to that timeless state in which we are all trapped permanently in time and space.
