Whites Wash at Ninety is a moving, witty, and inspiring film about coping with loss, illness, and life's many challenges. The story follows Bronja through different stages of her life. After losing her mother to cancer in childhood, she is later forced to confront the disease herself as a young woman. Despite numerous seemingly insurmountable obstacles, she faces them with a combination of tears, humour, and unwavering optimism.
The film is based on a true story and on the acclaimed autobiographical novel of the same title, which has been reprinted numerous times. Jurij Zrnec stars as Bronja’s father, while Lea Cok portrays the adult Bronja and Mei Rabič her younger self. The cast also features Tjaša Železnik as Bronja’s mother, Anica Dobra as her grandmother, and Saša Tabaković and Iva Krajnc Bagola in the roles of close family members.

Ticket holders for events within the 74th Ljubljana Festival are entitled to free rides on LPP city buses within two hours before the start and two hours after the end of each event.
