Interesting facts
- Mamma Mia! is by far the most popular musical of all time in Slovenia.

- Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, the central songwriting duo of ABBA, met in 1966 and soon began writing music together. Their early partnership was key to shaping the distinctive style that developed even before they formally started the group with their respective partners.

More information
It’s been more than 10 years since the spectacular opening of Mamma Mia! in Slovenian translation and adaptation, which captured Slovenian audience’s imagination and convinced even the critics, that Slovenian creative teams can match those of the biggest stage productions in the world. Not only match, but sometimes even outmatch them. That just may be one of the reasons why it seems as though 10 years passed as quickly as a summer breeze in the Greek islands. Križanke open air theatre will once again transform itself into a Greek island where we will once again enjoy this timeless romantic comedy about a girl who grew up in the 70’s and the other one who grew up in the 90’s. We also meet her twenty-year-old daughter Sophie, who longs for romance, children of her own and a big fairytale wedding. How will the story full of optimism and energy end this time? Will we finally find out who Sophie’s father is?
