Gypsy Swing
Teo Collori’s project draws from the tradition of gypsy swing while creating an entirely original musical language known for its rhythmic drive and stage energy. The expanded ensemble brings together outstanding musicians from jazz, classical and concert music, enriched by a strong string section. The group, which has collaborated with the RTV Slovenia Big Band and Vlado Kreslin, crafts a vibrant, dance‑infused and melodic sound.

Interesting facts
- Teo Collori founded the group Teo Collori in Momento Cigano in 2015. Their debut album Hot Club Piran (2015) was named album of the year by music website Musikobala. Subsequent releases include Kamerato Muzikante (2018), Molto Aligatore (2019) and Capitano Della Noche (2023).
- In 2022 the group released the live album Živo with Vlado Kreslin. Their collaboration began in 2020 when the artists appeared together at the Arsana Festival in Ptuj.
- Teo Collori has also appeared as a featured soloist with the RTV Slovenia Big Band, with which he recorded the album Gitara Parlante in 2021.

Momento Cigano is a project of guitarist Teo Collori, deriving from the gypsy swing tradition. Collori founded the group in 2015, initially as a trio with two guitars and bass. It later developed into a quintet with violinist Matija Krečič, clarinettist Matej Kužel, guitarist Metod Banko and double bassist Jošt Lampret. Their lively, danceable, melodic music draws inspiration from Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli but is entirely original. The group have released several albums, including Hot Club Piran (2015), Kamerato Muzikante (2018), Molto Aligatore (2019), Capitano Della Noche (2023) and El Paraiso (2024), and have collaborated with the RTV Slovenia Big Band (Gitara Parlante, 2021) and Vlado Kreslin (Živo, 2022). They perform regularly in Slovenia and across Europe, including at the Ljubljana Jazz Festival, the prestigious WOMEX festival and the famous London gypsy jazz club Le QuecumBar, among other venues. In 2024 the group undertook a concert tour (Portugal, Spain, Italy, Slovenia) with the fado legend Custódio Castelo.
Momento Cigano Extended, which made its first appearance in 2025 on the radio show Izštekani, features an expanded line-up in which the acoustic quintet is joined by drums and a string quartet, moving sonically away from its gypsy swing roots. The lineup is completed by violinist Ana Mezgec, violist Petar Njegovan, cellist Ema Krečič Rode and drummer Pavel Čebašek. The extended ensemble’s new programme opens up new, alternative sonic landscapes and combines complexity, fluidity and expressive freedom.
