Sehyeok Son, a pianist from South Korea, currently studies at the Colburn School with Fabio Bidini and Hyejin Kim. He trained at Yewon Arts University and the Yehudi Menuhin School in the UK. His awards include the Grand Prix at the Henle Piano Competition (2020) and Best Romantic Piece Award at the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians (2022), where he was also a finalist. He has performed at the Kumho Art Hall Yonsei, Yamaha Hall, and Seoul Arts Center, and played Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Millennium Symphony Orchestra in 2021. In 2023, he collaborated with Ashley Wass in The Rite of Spring for Two Pianos. He has participated in masterclasses with Krystian Zimerman, Konstantin Lifschitz, and Choong-Mo Kang, with support from the Human Resources Development Foundation and Samick Cultural Foundation.
