Nejc Kamplet began playing the piano at the age of five at the Maribor Conservatory of Music and Ballet, under L. Maletić and S. Gerželj, where he later also attended II. gimnazija Maribor. He completed his studies with distinction under Dr Z. Niederdorfer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, and later he continued with A. Vardi at the University of Music, Drama and Media Hanover. He has furthered his studies many world-renowned pianists: E. Kissin, J. Rouvier, B. Berman, D. Kim, M. Voskresensky, S. Gulyak, I. Hobson, G. Gruzman, A. Bonatta, R. Dalibaltayan, A. Valdma, and R. Levin,, among others. He has performed as a soloist with the Meiningen Court Orchestra, Slovenian, Graz and Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestras, Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, SNG Maribor, RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Harbin and Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and National Orchestra of Catalonia, Orchestra of the State Opera Banská Bystrica, Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra and others, collaborating with the conductors M, Valdivieso, V. Egel, A. J. Hochstrasser, P. Przytocki, M. Merkel, H. Shankar, J. Yang, W. Harrer, S. Krečič, Ž. Ploj Peršuh, D. Mori, J. Hyoun Baek, T. Lee, and B. Pionnier. He has given solo recitals at festivals across Europe, Asia and the USA.
