Marta Papoian began her musical education within the family of the renowned pianist A.Sultanov, studying violin with his mother and piano with his younger brother. At the age of nine, she continued her formal training under S. Voronov, and later studied with M. Gambaryan, the last living student of the legendary Russian pianist and pedagogue K. Igumnov. Marta has taken part in numerous masterclasses with distinguished international pianists, where she deepened her interpretive insight and honed her pianistic technique. Her artistry has been recognised at many prestigious piano competitions. She has won 1st Prizes at the IPPA Conero International Piano Competition, Tengiz Amirejibi International Piano Competition in Borjomi (including a Special Prize for the performance of a Chopin work), #StayHome International Piano Competition, The International Piano Competition “Chopin Plus”, Scriabin International Piano Competition, International Young Performer Contest “Kaunas Sonorum”, and Elevato Piano Competition.
