Marko Matajič began his musical education at the primary Lendava and Murska Sobota Music Schools, Slovenia, studying under B. Bogar, Y. Kunova, and P. Šantek. He continued his education at the Varaždin School of Music, Croatia, where he studied with P. Šantek. After successfully passing the entrance examination, he enrolled at the Mozarteum University Salzburg in Austria, where he is currently in his fourth year of study. Initially a student of T. Böckheler, he now studies under A. Weber. In addition to his solo repertoire, Marko actively performs in chamber ensembles, expanding his musical experience under the mentorship of C. Höfer Teutsch, T. Kurucz, and L. Roczek. He has participated in numerous national and international competitions and attended many masterclasses. His dedication and artistry have been recognized through multiple awards at regional, national, and prestigious international competitions held in Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Austria.
