Kuo Wang began piano at the age of five under the inspiration of L. Jian. He studied with F. Min at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and C. Xu at Ningbo University. In 2018, he entered the Middle School of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, studying with T. Jin. He has received scholarships and performed at major events such as the Ode to Spring Film Symphony Concert and Triple Concerto, Op. 56 by Ludwig van Beethoven with the Ningbo Symphony Orchestra. He has won numerous prizes, including the Gold Prize at the 2017 Pearl River – Kayserburg International Youth Piano Competition, Gold and Silver at the 2018 “Silk Road Piano” Ningbo International Piano Art Festival, Gold at the 2019 Mozart Int’l Piano Competition China, and Silver at the 2021 Scriabin International Piano Competition. Since 2022, he has studied at the University of Music Franz List Weimar, first with M. Lifits, then with M. Kim. He has worked with L. Natochenny, M. Dalberto, T. Krämer and C. Hung-Kuan. In 2025, he won six awards at the Piano Campus International Competition in France, including the Piano Campus d’Or and Audience Award. He performs regularly in Germany, China, Japan, and beyond.
