Born in 2008, Kai Rong Toby Tan was selected as the Singapore Symphony Orchestra President’s Young Performer in 2024, performing Rhapsody on a Theme of Paginini by Sergei Rachmaninov with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. He made his concerto debut at the age of 10 with the Soliall Philharmonic Orchestra, and has since performed with the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, Virtuosi Brunenses, Maestoso Chamber Orchestra, T’ang Quartet, Ding Yi Music Company, Kids’ Philharmonic Orchestra and the orchestra of the Georg-Friedrich-Handel-Gymnasium. He has been invited to perform at Berliner Philharmonie, Suzhou Bay Grand Theatre and Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre. He is currently a student at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (Singapore), studying under A. Tiu and privately with A. Babakhanian.
