Winner of the 2024 Australian National Piano Award, Joshua Han has been praised for “complete mastery of his instrument as well as complete empathy with the music” (Sydney Arts Guide). He has appeared with orchestras such as the Queensland Symphony Orchestra under B. Northey, the Sendai Philharmonic under K. Takaseki, and the Suwon Philharmonic under D. Kim. Han is currently undertaking a Master of Music Studies (Performance) under P. Rickard-Ford at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. His engagements in the 2025-2026 season include appearances at the Albury Chamber Music Festival in Australia, concerto and recital performances in Australia and New Zealand. Born in Sydney, Joshua started piano aged four with his mother. He has won international first prizes at competitions in Ettlingen and Aarhus among others, and has studied with leading pedagogues including K. Kenner, E. Pobłocka, A. Groethuysen, and the late J. Perry.
