Elia Cecino began his studies at the age of nine, and at 17 graduated Summa cum Laude from the Cesena Conservatory. He won 1st Prizes at the 22nd València Iturbi International Piano Competition, in which the jury chaired by Joaquín Achúcarro awarded him prizes for the best performances of Beethoven Piano Concerto and of Chopin’s music. He has also won at the international competitions in New Orleans, New York, Manchester and Lleida and was a laureate of the 17th Arthur Rubinstein Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv. The year 2020 marked his recording debut, with the release of two CDs – with Brahms Piano Works published by IBS Classical, and a Schumann collection by Piano Classics. Some of his recitals and interviews have been broadcast on Classic FM, Radio Catalunya, Classical FM New Orleans, Rai Radio 3, Radio Popolare, and Rai FVG. Elia has performed in halls such as the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, Merkin Hall in New York, Laeiszhalle inHamburg, Ehrbar Hall in Vienna, and Teatro La Fenice, and collaborated with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Sinfónica de Galicia, Valencia Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi. Elia is also active in chamber music, performing with distinguished string partners including Mario Brunello.
