Dong-Yi Lin is currently studying piano with L. Yeh. He began learning piano at the age of seven. In high school, he not only minored in percussion but also explored other genres of music, including jazz and electronic music. He recently graduated from National Taiwan Normal University. As an active musician, Dong-Yi has performed in various recitals and concerts. In 2019 and 2020, he was invited by the International New Aspect Cultural and Educational Foundation to perform solo works and a concerto as part of the project Salute to J. S. Bach. In 2021, he gave a piano recital featuring complete Images and Préludes Book I by Claude Debussy. As a percussionist, he participated in the project 2021 Taiwan Music Image: Homage to My Homeland, performing traditional Taiwanese works in pieces by T. Hsiao and C.-Y. Kuo. In 2022, he gave the Taiwanese premiere of Piano Concerto No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. posth by Franz Liszt. After winning 1st prize and the Best Rendition Award of Debussy at the 1st International Piano Competition for Young Pianists Kronberg in 2023, he collaborated with the Debussy Music Centre the following year for a recital, which was later released as a live performance album. In 2024, he actively collaborated with multiple orchestras in concerto performances.
