BrassUnit is a dynamic group of young and ambitious musicians dedicated to creating entertaining brass music of the highest quality. Its members have studied under renowned professors such as Håkan Hardenberger, Markus Maskuniitty, and Louise Pollock, ensuring an exceptional level of musical expertise and a deep understanding of the brass world. Their journey began during a weekend course in Vänersborg, where, as promising up-and-coming talents, they met and formed strong friendships. Since then, they have continued to develop their relationships and make music together. Today, they are active as freelance musicians in Sweden, Denmark, and Germany, contributing to the professional music scene. BrassUnit is committed to expanding the repertoire for brass quintets through active collaboration with composers and promoting the market for chamber music. The quintet’s ambitions extend beyond Swedish borders, with a clear goal of international establishment.
