Dvořák evening with Tomaž Lorenz and Alenka Šček-Lorenz
On Tuesday, August 4 a concert of a performer and music pedagogue, violinist Tomaž Lorenz that has left an important mark on Slovenian musical life over the last few decades and of a pianist Alenka Šček Lorenz will take place at Križanke, Knight's Hall at 8 pm. Tomaž and Alenka Lorenz also devote their attention to pedagogical work at the Ljubljana Academy of Music, while Tomaž Lorenz regularly leads chamber music masterclasses both at home and abroad. The programme for the evening will contain works of Antonín Dvořák who is one of the most recognised composers of the 19th century. Practically every work in his opus is marked by colourful harmonies, stirring rhythms and inexhaustible melodic inspiration, all of which are characteristic of the diverse set of compositions for violin and piano that the composer created in various periods.
