The Križanke Church
By the Križanke complex, a new church was built in 1714-15 on the site where the Gothic Church of St. Mary had once stood. The new Križanke church was the first Baroque building in Slovenia, centrally-planned and in the form of a Greek cross with a richly pilastered facade and a picturesque dome. The church is suitable mostly for chamber concerts; in addition, it has hosted several small theatre productions.
