Sara Rustja graduated from the class of Dubravka Tomšič Srebotnjak at the Ljubljana Academy of Music in the present academic year. While studying she participated in numerous state and international competitions. Amongst her numerous awards particular mention should be made of prizes in the Competition for Young Musicians in Udine, Italy, the Competition for Musical Interpretation in Genoa, Italy, the Primorska Competition for Young Pianists, Koper, the Slovene State Piano Competition ‘TEMSIG’ and the International Competition for Young Pianists of Citta di Minerbio, Italy. In a call for recording projects and individual compositions, Sara Rustja was selected for a studio recording by Radio Koper, and in 2008 she became a prizewinner of the European Yamaha Foundation.
