Young Virtuosi will for the second time celebrate ‘That Happy Day of Culture’, the anniversary of the birth of Slovene poet France Prešeren, with music. In the spirit of 2010, a year in which we celebrate the great musical jubilees of 19th century composers, there will be a festive evening with the music of Johannes Brahms. His Sonata No. 2 has been selected by a graduate of the Ljubljana Academy of Music, violinist Domen Lorenz, who is currently undertaking postgraduate studies in Vienna and is the recipient of numerous Slovene and foreign awards. The second part of the concert will witness appearances by prizewinners in state competitions in 2008 and 2009, excellent chamber musicians from the class of Tomaž Lorenz at the Ljubljana Academy of Music.
