Vuk Jovanović (1991), a second year student in the class of Aleksandar Serdar at the Belgrade Academy of Music, begins a series of presentations of young pianists and piano repertoire within the framework of the Young Virtuosi International Music Cycle. Vuk Jovanović is the recipient of numerous prizes and awards, including first prize in the state competition for music students, three prizes in the ‘Vučković’ competition for young pianists, a mention in the Nikolai Rubinstein Competition in Paris and second prize in the Isidor Bajić International Competition in Novi Sad. He has presented concerts at all of the major concert halls in Belgrade and appeared as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Radio Television of Serbia, performing works by Slobodan Marković and Dmitri Shostakovich. Vuk Jovanović enjoyed a great success at the Shalon European Music Festival in France, as well as giving concerts in synagogues in Novi Sad, at the Ohrid Summer Festival and at the Ljubljana Festival.
