A representative of the Russian school, violinist Nadezhda Tokareva’s playing is distinguished by great individuality, nobility of sound and remarkable virtuosity. She performs here in a duo with Russian pianist Natalia Morozova, who is acclaimed for her sensitivity and technical mastery. The Spanish folk tradition, the Italian tarantella, the Polish mazurka and the waltz are evidence that this spirited duo have devised a programme with a distinctively dance-like character, with compositions whose roots are in the traditions of different countries.
