“Green Field, Red Soil” is an original project by renowned Slovene composer Pavel Mihelčič that consists of the eponymous work, scored for the unusual combination of cello, two percussionists and piano, and solo compositions thematically connected to nature. The event will be particularly notable for the use of percussion from stones and baked clay made especially for the occasion by the academy-trained sculptors Alenka Virdgar, Dragica Čadež and Boštjan Lapajne. This adventure in sound, which will also experiment visually with the refraction of colours in water, will be punctuated by the composer’s ideas from his writings on music in the form of recitations.
